HOMICIDE
It was 8 a.m. on Monday, January 2, 2021 when Memphis Police officers from the North Main Street station were dispatched to the 800 block of E.H. Crump Blvd., just south of downtown, in response to an accident report.
On Crump the officers discovered an unresponsive victim inside a wrecked GMC Terrain. The man was pronounced dead by Memphis Fire Dept. paramedics at the scene.
Special Traffic Unit investigators arrived. Their efforts soon revealed that the victim, Jabouri Williams, had been shot multiple times. MPD homicide detectives were then brought to the crime scene.
