On Wednesday, October 10, 2007, at 7:52 p. m., A Uniformed Police Officer was on routine patrol in the area of Rocky Park and Kirby Parkway. The officer heard what sounded like gunshots and while investigating found the victim lying on the ground in the rear of a pickup truck suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.  A white late model Cadillac was seen leaving the area, after the gunshots were heard. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene by Memphis Fire Department Paramedics. Mr. Willie Dotson, M/B, age 42, became the 128th Homicide victim of 2007, in Memphis.

November 12, 2007
 
On Saturday, October 20, 2007, at 10:42 a. m., Uniformed Police Officers responded to a call for police on Sledge near Dudley. After arriving on the scene, they found the male victim lying on the ground, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim, who was dressed as a woman, was pronounced dead on the scene by Memphis Fire Department Paramedics. Mr. Teddias Tucker, M/B, age 21, became the 130th Homicide victim of 2007, in Memphis.

November 9, 2007 - SOLVED
 
On Sunday, November 4, 2007, at 7:30 p. m., Uniformed Police Officers responded to a “man down” call at Faxon and Eva. After arriving on the scene, they found the victim lying in the street suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene by Memphis Fire Department Paramedics. The investigation revealed the victim was driving his burgundy Mercury Grand Marquis in the area of Poplar and Merton. While in the area, two male blacks approached the vehicle, shot the victim, then drove off with the victim still inside of the vehicle. The suspects apparently dumped the victim’s body in the area of Faxon and Eva, then fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. Mr. Christopher Mathis, M/B, age 22, became the 141st Homicide victim of 2007, in Memphis.

November 2, 2007 - SOLVED
 
On Friday, October 26, 2007, at 11:30 a. m., Shelby County Sheriff Deputies went to 2035 Northport, #2 to execute an eviction order. After gaining entry into the locked residence, it appeared to have been ransacked. The victim, Danny Rex Harris, was found in his bedroom with no obvious signs of life. The victim appeared to have been dead for several weeks and had advanced stages of decomposition. The Memphis Police were called to conduct the investigation. On October 27, 2007, the Shelby County Medical Examiner ruled the death a homicide. Mr. Harris, M/W, age 55, became the 135th Homicide victim of 2007, in Memphis.

October 29, 2007
 

On Thursday, October 25, 2007, at 6:00 p. m., Uniformed Police Officers made the scene of a shooting, at 1812 Pinedale. Upon arrival on the scene, the officers found one victim, Herbert Wooten, lying in the yard. He had been shot several times and died on the scene. His wife was located inside the house. She had also been shot and was transported to the Regional Medical Center by Fire Department Ambulance in critical condition.  Mr. Wooten, M/W, age 76, became the 134th Homicide victim of 2007, in Memphis. 

The investigation revealed at least one male was seen running eastbound from the scene after the shots were fired.

October 22, 2007
 
On Sunday, October 14, 2007, at approximately 6:56 p. m., Uniformed Police Officers responded to a complaint call, at 2955 Barron. Upon arrival on the scene, the officers were advised by a female complainant that her 3-year-old daughter was missing. The complainant advised she left the child playing in the courtyard of the Barron Brook Apartments for approximately 10 minutes, while she retrieved toys. When the complainant returned to the courtyard the child was gone. While officers were searching the area, a male was seen coming out of the woods near Mt. Vernon Church on Haynes, walking with a child that had a large white T-shirt wrapped around her head and body. As the officer approached the suspect, he started running northbound on Haynes. The officer took custody of the child and returned her to the scene.

The suspect is described as a male, black, 16-18 years old, 5’7”, 140-150 lbs., dark complexion with bags underneath his eyes and a short afro. The suspect was wearing a white T-shirt and black pants at the time of the incident.

On Thursday, October 4, 2007, at 3:13 p. m., Uniformed Police Officers responded to a complaint call, at 506 Lucy. Upon arrival on the scene, the officers were advised that a foul odor was coming from a trash can at that location. The officers checked the trash can and discovered a badly decomposed body. On October 8, 2007, the victim was positively identified by fingerprints. Ms. Sheila Jackson, F/B, age 50, became the 126th Homicide victim of 2007, in Memphis. October 8, 2007 - SOLVED
 
On Wednesday, October 3, 2007, at 9:35 a. m., Uniformed Police Officers responded to a shooting call, at 2840 Churchill. Upon arrival on the scene, they found the victim lying on the floor suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene by Fire Department Paramedics. Mr. Asa McGhee, M/B, age 24, became the 122nd Homicide victim of 2007, in Memphis.  The two suspects, who were wearing dark clothing and white gloves, left the residence driving the victim’s vehicle. The vehicle was recovered one block away from the scene. The investigation revealed that one suspect is possibly known as “ATL”.No one has been arrested and charged with this crime. Your help is needed to solve this case. The investigation continues.

 
October 1, 2007
 
On Monday, June 11, 2007, at 4:15 a. m., Uniformed Police Officers responded to a shooting at Majorie and Person. Upon arrival on the scene, they discovered the body of the victim sitting in the driver’s seat of a Ford Crown Victoria. The victim had been shot several times through the driver’s window. The investigation revealed that the shooting started at 780 Tampa, where an unidentified male walked up to the Ford and started shooting. The victim was able to drive to Majorie and Person before he lost consciousness. A blue Chrysler 300 drove past that location and several more shots were fired. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene by Fire Department Paramedics. Mr. Mel Antoniel Owens, M/B, age 19, became the 70th Homicide victim of 2007, in Memphis.  No one has been arrested and charged with this crime. Your help is needed to solve this case. September 24, 2007
 
On Thursday, September 6, 2007, at 10:40 p. m., Uniformed Police Officers responded to a shooting call, at 2532 Warren. Upon arrival on the scene, they discovered the 58-year-old male victim had been shot. The investigation revealed that the victim had just finished doing yard work at New Harvest Missionary Baptist Church, when he and another male were approached by a lone gunman who demanded money from both victims. After a brief struggle, one of the victims was shot one time. The victim was transported to the Regional Medical Center by Fire Department Ambulance, in critical condition.    The suspect was described as a male, black, medium complexion, 5’5”, 120 lbs. At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing a white polo shirt, black pants and black shoes. The suspect was last seen running toward the Warren Apartments.No one has been arrested and charged with this crime. Your help is needed to solve this case. The investigation continues.

 
September 17, 2007
 
On Saturday, August 18, 2007, at 2:47 a. m., Uniformed Police Officers responded to an accident call, at 5214 Cottonwood. Upon arrival on the scene, they discovered the victim had struck a utility pole and was unconscious behind the steering wheel. Further investigation revealed that the victim was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene by Fire Department Paramedics. Mr. Jon Wilkins, M/B, age 26, became the 105th Homicide victim of 2007, in Memphis.  The investigation revealed that prior to this incident, the victim was at Tony’s Bar and Grill, at 3101 S. Mendenhall. The victim was extremely intoxicated and creating a disturbance, so he was forced to leave. While at the intersection of Cottonwood and Mendenhall, the victim had an altercation with two male blacks who were occupying a black Chevy Tahoe. During this altercation, the driver of the Tahoe fired several shots, then fled the scene. The victim struck the utility pole trying to flee the scene.No one has been arrested and charged with this crime. Your help is needed to solve this case. The investigation continues.

 
September 10, 2007
 
On Monday, August 20, 2007, at approximately 11:15 a. m., Uniformed Police Officers responded to a Forcible Rape complaint in the 1400 Block of Orleans. Upon arrival on the scene, they were advised by the 17-year-old female victim that she had been raped by an unidentified male. The victim was walking southbound on Orleans when she was approached from behind by the suspect who indicated that he had a weapon. The suspect forced the victim to the rear of an abandoned house, where he raped her.   The suspect is described as a male black, 25 years old, 5’7”, 135lbs, medium complexion with a low hair cut. At the time of the assault, the suspect was wearing a white-T-shirt, blue jean shorts and white tennis shoes. The investigation revealed that the suspect had been seen in the neighborhood before. August 27, 2007
 
On Tuesday, March 6, 2007, at approximately 9:10 p. m., Uniformed Police Officers responded to shooting, at 3218 Rochester. Upon arrival on the scene, they discovered that the victim had been shot while lying in bed. The victim was transported to the Regional Medical Center by Fire Department Ambulance, where he later died. The investigation revealed that the suspect followed the victim’s wife into the residence when she returned home from work, went into the victim’s bedroom and shot the victim while he slept. Mr. Gregory Jackson, M/B, age 37, became the 28th Homicide victim of 2007, in Memphis.  No one has been arrested and charged with this crime. Your help is needed to solve this case.
