HOMICIDE
Memphis Police officers at the Austin Peay Station were dispatched to a gas station at 4311 New Allen Road in north Memphis to check on a call about a shooting. It was 9 p.m. Friday, June 18, 2021. When they arrived, the officers discovered a shooting victim in front of the store. The victim, a man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers learned the man had just arrived at the store with his young son when three males approached and fired multiple shots. The small boy barely escaped the flying bullets and the suspects fled the scene in a red Dodge pickup truck which later was recovered.
This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information on this homicide is asked to contact CrimeStoppers at 528-CASH (2274). An award of $2,000 is available for information that helps bring about an arrest in this case.
